Description mershl 2021-10-19 22:11:57 UTC
Description of problem:
Some Wine games (first seen this with Inscryption from GOG) show
> ALSA lib dlmisc.c:337:(snd_dlobj_cache_get0) Cannot open shared library libasound_module_pcm_pipewire.so (/lib/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_pipewire.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
on startup and don't play sound.

Upstream lutris issue: https://github.com/lutris/lutris/issues/1093#issuecomment-435556542
"I've completely removed libasound and its modules (which weren't being used, other wise, the issue wouldn't have occurred).
This mean that it is now up to the system to provide libasound2, which shouldn't be too much of an issue since it is a wine dependency."

The issue is immediatly fixed, and sound is playing after running
> sudo dnf install pipewire.i686

Version-Release number of selected component:
Tested with lutris-0.5.9.1-1.fc35.x86_64 and Inscryption from GOG)

Comment 5 mershl 2021-10-22 20:40:27 UTC
Tested lutris-0.5.9.1-2.fc35 on a fresh F35 installation. pipewire (32-bit) dependency is correctly installed as a soft dependency and the missing sound is fixed. Thank you bunnyapocalypse.
