Description Mike Eichler 2022-01-04 19:43:28 UTC
Description of problem:

LibreOffice installed on Fedora Silverblue 35 via Flatpak comes from Fedora's flatpak repos.
In order to have a spellcheck for locales not included by default (non-US English for example), the extension org.libreoffice.LibreOffice.Locale needs to be installed. According to https://www.libreoffice.org/download/flatpak/, this should happen automatically, but it doesn't (I assume because LO comes from Fedora's Flatpak repo, and the extension is only available on Flathub).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Flatpak 1.12.2
LO is from the Stable branch

How reproducible:
Probably easily

Steps to Reproduce:
1. On a Fedora Silverblue install (or on any Fedora with Flatpak) install LO from Fedora's Flatpak repos
2. Try to set the spellcheck to English UK

Actual results:
The spellcheck is not available

Expected results:
The spellcheck is avaiable

This should get fixed with <https://src.fedoraproject.org/flatpaks/libreoffice/c/92e67f3ca35f456eb0bb5c6f334d77cf4952e77c> "Resolves: rhbz#2037064 Add hunspell-en component", but rebuilding the flatpak currently fails for unrelated reasons that are not yet sorted out.
