Note: This is a public test instance of Red Hat Bugzilla. The data contained within is a snapshot of the live data so any changes you make will not be reflected in the production Bugzilla. RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Kostiantyn Kostiuk 2022-04-27 14:33:06 UTC
For cross-compilation of QEMU Guest Agent for Windows starting from QEMU v7.0.0 we need IDL files.

Mingw-headers package of Fedora was updated to solve this.
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/mingw-headers/c/e139c813b0532a6024893cbb9e05ee5f9336a165?branch=rawhide

Now CentOS Stream 9 repository should be synced with Fedora one.

The other packages that should be updated:
mingw-crt
mingw-w64-tools
mingw-winpthreads

Comment 1 Richard W.M. Jones 2022-04-29 09:26:32 UTC
Note to self:

The plan we came up with to handle these bugs was to synch with Fedora 37
for RHEL 9.1. We can likely do this in two steps, an early synch perhaps
in May/June (allowing qemu-ga to be built soon after), and a final synch
perhaps in early August to pick up any later changes from Fedora.

This documents the bootstrap order:

Comment 4 tingting zheng 2022-05-09 09:14:54 UTC
Test the bug with:
mingw-headers-10.0.0-3.1.el9

The latest mingw-headers version has been updated to 10.0.0, tried to install latest mingw-headers packages and they can be installed successfully, so set Verified:Tested/Sanity only.

Comment 8 tingting zheng 2022-08-03 07:14:18 UTC
Test the bug with:
mingw-headers-10.0.0-3.1.el9

The latest mingw-headers version has been updated to 10.0.0, tried to install latest mingw-headers packages and they can be installed successfully, so move the bug to VERIFIED.
