Description of problem:
Pidgin can hang on input when scrolling is required.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
2.14.8-4

How reproducible:
Quite but no specific reproducer steps.  Please see upstream bug report for details.

Actual results:
Pidgin can hang on input that requires scrolling.

Expected results:
Should not hang.

Additional info:
Fixed upstream in https://issues.imfreedom.org/issue/PIDGIN-17413 and landed for 2.14.9 in https://keep.imfreedom.org/pidgin/pidgin/rev/0079467afee4.

Also, the upstream tracker seems to be known to this BZ instance.  Please add it so that upstream bug tracking can be done.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to add the upstream tracker, the imfreedom.org seems unknown to bugzilla, maybe bugzilla bug will be needed?

Yes.  I said as much in my original report also:
