Description of problem:
The fc36 version of gamescope is 34 bugfix releases behind upstream (3.11.9 vs. 3.11.43 as of this writing).

I saw frantisekz taking over the fc37 and fc38 releases of gamescope last week. Do we plan to keep the package closer to gamescopes upstream in the future?

Upstream makes new tag releases all the time on no particular schedule. We try to keep as close as possible provided wlroots and other components are compatible.

Yeah, I was thinking about updating f36 too, but newer gamescope requires new major libliftoff release. In Fedora, only gamescope depends on that library, so it should theoretically by a viable option for stable Fedora release too. Other components should be new enough in f36 if I am not missing anything. I am just more cautious in these situations. Neal, do you have any opinions about bumping it in f36 too?

Nah, go for it. I introduced libliftoff for gamescope, so it should be fine to update them together.
