Ping.

When will you update keychain?

This bugfix update is quite old, but you have could update at least rawhide...

Just mailed you in private mail, in case your mail program filters bugzilla mails...

Hi Thomas, thanks for asking.

Which feature from the newer upstream keychain version do you miss in the one available as a fedora package? Any specific bug fixed?

Cheers Alexander

The new lockfile implementation looks saner, but generally speaking:
It should be key feature of fedora to closely follow upstream and to update to a new version when possible.

Or do you think, when there is "nothing spectacular" in a new update, we should always ignore it? ("nothing spectacular" is always an opinion thing anyway).

Thanks for the fast answer :)

Thomas, commit access in pkgdb is granted. Welcome as a co-maintainer. Let's see whether your locking issue gets addressed with the newer upstream version. Thanks
Alexander

FYI, I'm still trying to upstream some commits made in fedora downstream, but the new version works here as expected so far.

Upstream doesn't move. Now under F16 anything seems just fine, so I'm leaving it up to you to update or not...

Whats the status of this?

Comment 10 Till Maas 2013-06-03 08:33:52 UTC
A minor annoying issue is that the URL in the SPEC/RPM does not point to the actual upstream, leading to unecessarily time spent investigating the current status of the package.

There is a new version of Keychain: 2.7.1

Case: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=811365

I think this bug could be marked as duplicated.
