Comment 1 Jens Petersen 2011-03-29 01:09:17 UTC
We may wait for a haskell-platform-2011 update before pushing this to rawhide
or just patch haskell-platform-2011.1.

Scratch build for f16: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=2955509

Comment 2 Bryan O'Sullivan 2011-05-20 02:06:07 UTC
There's been a haskell-platform rev for a bit. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do Haskell packaging for Fedora any more.

Comment 3 Jens Petersen 2011-05-20 14:02:21 UTC
Yes, definitely planning to start on this soon for F16 rawhide.

We could potentially also backport to F15 if there is enough value.
For ghc the only real reason to do that seems to be some
floating-point problems for 7.0.2 on x86? - not sure how serious
they are, and the text version update for platform.

Comment 4 Jens Petersen 2011-06-01 01:31:37 UTC
Apparently there is going to be a 7.0.4 release to fix a related
floating-point issue on 32bit: http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/5149 .

(The original 7.0.2 issue is http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/4914 .)

So I think will wait a little longer before updating from 7.0.2.

Presumably there will be a corresponding haskell-platform-2011.2.0.2?

Comment 5 Jens Petersen 2011-06-04 10:32:03 UTC
I made a scratch build of 7.0.4 rc1.

If you want to test it, you should be able to do:

$ lftp http://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/scratch/petersen/task_3111055/
> mget *.[x86_64|i686].rpm
$ sudo rpm -Uvh ghc*-23.1.fc16.[x86_64|i686].rpm
