This bug is still alive as today for ppc64 architecture for socat 1.7.2.4:
===
summary: 346 tests, 345 selected; 252 ok, 4 failed, 89 could not be performed
FAILED:  235 254 267 285
Makefile:186: recipe for target 'test' failed
make: *** [test] Error 1
error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.MXwWVI (%check)
===

note that at least for ppc64 archi, need before to embed patch of bug #1182005

I forgot to add the related build log from scratch build (with spec temporary patch to bypass make check errors)
