I don't know if the following page is up-to-date, but it seems marking /usr/bin/gnuplot as a %ghost file should be enough to solve this. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/PackagingDrafts/UsingAlternatives gnuplot-5.0.0-8.fc22 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 22. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/gnuplot-5.0.0-8.fc22 Looks good on my end. Thanks! gnuplot-4.6.5-6.fc21 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 21. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/gnuplot-4.6.5-6.fc21 Thinking about it more, it seems strange that a package ghost owning a file can be used to satisfy another package requiring that file. Ghost owning means that file could somehow appear or never appear. What am I missing? In this case it will work, gnuplot always creates /usr/bin/gnuplot, but I wonder how %ghost is meant to work in general. Package gnuplot-4.6.5-6.fc21: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 21 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Update it with: # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing gnuplot-4.6.5-6.fc21' as soon as you are able to. Please go to the following url: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2015-6283/gnuplot-4.6.5-6.fc21 then log in and leave karma (feedback). gnuplot-5.0.0-8.fc22 has been pushed to the Fedora 22 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. gnuplot-4.6.5-6.fc21 has been pushed to the Fedora 21 stable repository.
