Updating to 11.1.0 doesn't seem to help - I'm seeing the same error from the version in the gazebo-latest copr: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/robotics-sig/gazebo-latest/ There's some other reports of similar behavoir around the internet: https://discuss.ardupilot.org/t/gazebo-stuck-at-preparing-your-world/34597 https://answers.gazebosim.org//question/14237/problem-with-launching-the-gazebo/ I've waited for a bit for things to download per some of the suggestions, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything on the network according to nethogs. I'm going to try building against a newer version of OGRE next. I tried leaving it open all night long no difference. Have tried with a Mac using ssh -X and XQuartz, X2Go, and MobaXterm, all the same. >I'm going to try building against a newer version of OGRE next. Would like to hear if you were successful. I built gazebo-11.1.0 against ogre-1.12.8 locally, I'm still seeing the same problem. The bug is reported upstream at https://github.com/osrf/gazebo/issues/2457, I'll follow up there. Per the upstream bug, I tracked down the issue to the symbol visibility flags. I'll push an updated gazebo 10 to f32 and up disabling symbol hiding as a work-around until the underlying cause is found and fixed. FEDORA-2020-096da5ff40 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 32. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-096da5ff40 FEDORA-2020-096da5ff40 has been pushed to the Fedora 32 testing repository. In short time you'll be able to install the update with the following command: `sudo dnf upgrade --enablerepo=updates-testing --advisory=FEDORA-2020-096da5ff40` You can provide feedback for this update here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-096da5ff40 See also https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for more information on how to test updates.
