Upon further testing, I discovered that it crashes in Gnome and fluxbox too. This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 12 development cycle. Changing version to '12'. Fwiw, I use Thunderbird daily (on kde), been rock-solid from my own experience. Are you able to reproduce this issue with the upstream binary? Description of problem: Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 3.0b2 How reproducible: Everytime, with the mention that sometimes it just hangs :) Steps to Reproduce: 1.start thunderbird 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info: Since /usr/bin/thunderbird is a shell script, I cannot gdb it.
