With KMS disabled, Xorg has no problem with this EDID.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 12 development cycle. Changing version to '12'. Disabling kms, Xorg has no problem with the EDID. may be unrelated, but there was a similar case on fedora forums where a intel card user (Intel 82Q963/Q965 graphics) required "nomodesetting" parameter in order to get the corret resolutions.
