Description Miro Hrončok 2016-05-18 10:52:41 UTC
I see Python 3 added in spec in upstream git: https://github.com/spacewalkproject/spacewalk/blob/master/client/rhel/rhnlib/rhnlib.spec

So my question is: is this ready for Fedora? If so, could you please add the change? If not, can you please provide more information?

Thanks

I am aware of that. And I will build the package for Fedora once Spacewalk team will do the release (which is one for all Spacewalk packages). It happen usually every 2 months.

Will this mean Spacewalk will run on Py3, or just that some of the libraries will have the subpackages ready?

Comment 3 Miroslav Suchý 2016-05-18 15:38:59 UTC
That the client packages will be able to run on Py3. I am not aware of initiative to migrate backend to Py3 (and spacewalk-backend is AFAIK not in Fedora).

New upstream version with python3 support just landed in rawhide.
