Comment 13 Alex 2016-06-22 15:30:10 UTC
I think this might be related to my having two screens (Display :0.0 and :0.1)

If I start xfce4-terminal on the second screen (:0.1), and then launch it again on the other screen (0.0), it seems to crash.

Comment 14 Kevin Fenzi 2016-06-25 22:27:03 UTC
Can you attach output of 'xrandr -q' ?

Are these seperate hardware displays? Or ?

Comment 15 Alex 2016-06-26 10:34:57 UTC
I have two monitors, each attached to a different graphics card: an AOC monitor attached via DVI to 01:00.0 (see lspci output below) and an Iiyama monitor attached to 02:00.0. I think these are set-up as separate X displays (as I cannot move windows between them). I'm using the latest nvidia drivers.

This is the "xrandr -q" output done from a terminal on the other monitor:

[pua@rook Desktop]$ xrandr -q
Screen 1: minimum 8 x 8, current 1080 x 1920, maximum 16384 x 16384
VGA-0 disconnected primary (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DVI-D-0 connected 1080x1920+0+0 left (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 521mm x 293mm
   1920x1080 60.00*+
   1680x1050 59.95
   1440x900 59.89
   1280x1024 75.02 60.02
   1280x960 60.00
   1280x720 60.00
   1024x768 75.03 70.07 60.00
   800x600 75.00 72.19 60.32 56.25
   640x480 75.00 72.81 59.94
HDMI-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
[pua@rook Desktop]$

Note that opening a terminal on that monitor (Screen 1) crashed the terminal on Screen 0.
