+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1351205 +++

My computer with a NVIDIA Corporation GM204 [GeForce GTX 970] graphics card fails to bring up the display during boot and after. After grub screen the monitor goes into sleep mode and stays that way. 

Switching to kernel the previous installed kernal boot proceeds normally.

Running the latest Fedora 24 workstation, with all dnf updates as of Aug 4th 2016.

Still happening with the latest kernel: 4.6.5-300.fc24

The only kernel I can boot successfully with kernel 4.5.5-300.fc24

My graphics card info:

[@localhost ~]# /sbin/lspci | grep VGA

Is there any other useful information I can provide?
