Description Peter Lemenkov 2016-11-14 13:52:55 UTC
IDEA cryptoalgorithm was disabled due to so-called software patent issues. Fortunately all known software patents covering IDEA expired in 2015.

It was reenabled in OpenSSL long time ago:

Comment 1 Peter Lemenkov 2016-11-14 13:53:21 UTC
Sorry - expired in 2012.

Comment 2 Paul Howarth 2016-11-14 14:13:27 UTC
This needs perl-Crypt-IDEA moving from RPM Fusion into Fedora first. I'd be happy for someone else to take that package.

Comment 3 Tom "spot" Callaway 2016-11-14 15:17:46 UTC
Confirmed. It's fine for IDEA implementations to return to Fedora. Lifting FE-Legal.

Comment 4 Paul Howarth 2016-11-16 09:42:45 UTC
Fixed in perl-Net-SSH-Perl-1.42-6.fc26
