Description djf 2016-11-30 12:46:36 UTC
Description of problem:

1. ctl+left mouse click would send a web link from elinks text browser - to chrome
2. shift+left mouse move over link, then a ctl-c would copy a web link from elinks. It could then be pasted anywhere.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

elinks-0.12-0.48.pre6.fc24.x86_64
xorg-x11-server-Xwayland-1.19.0-1.fc25.x86_64
linux 4.8.8-200
chrome 54.0.2840-90

How reproducible:

Easy - see

Steps to Reproduce:

1. hot link

$ elinks google.com
  ctl+left mouse click (on web link on bottom left side of elinks)
  ERROR: Before wayland the above would open the links in chrome

2. copy/paste

$ elinks google.com
  shift+hold left mouse click, and highlight link on bottom left side of elinks
  ERROR: before wayland the above would copy the link - to be pasted elseware

3.

Actual results:

Can not hot link or copy and paste

Expected results:

hot links from elinks into chrome, and copy/paste links anywhere

Additional info:

None

AFAIK, elinks does not create any window on its own. Do you run it in a graphical terminal? Which terminal? Are you able to copy text from other terminal-based applications in that terminal?
