Description Satish Sharma 2004-11-25 17:57:15 UTC
Description of problem:

Tried installing FC3 on a machine (Pentium 4, Northbrige chipset
mother board, Seagatte 120 G HD)
Bios does support LBA

I had earlies FC1 AND FC2 installed on this machine without any problem.
I did verify the data on CD ROM ..and it's good.

Installaiton starts failing after language selection. It puts out a
dialog titled BUG with a message of probe_partion_for_geom() function
failing. If you select ignore it proceeds and finally core dumps as it
tries to write the partiontable.
if you select cancel, the installation is terminated.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): FC3

How reproducible: YES

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start from CDROM (iso image)
2.
3.
