Comment 13 Milan Crha 2017-04-27 15:34:13 UTC
Thanks for a bug report. I see you've installed libsoup 2.58.0, which has sever issue with evolution-ews [1]. Could you downgrade it to 2.56.0, please? If it would be too complicated, I can create a test build of it which will have reverted the change which causes trouble from [1].

Comment 14 Gwendal 2017-04-27 15:37:27 UTC
Hello! I am simply using the libsoup version provided by Fedora 26, and I have no idea how to downgrade :(. In addition, I do not know how to reproduce the issue. But if I can be of any help, please tell me what to do.

Comment 15 Milan Crha 2017-04-27 15:59:25 UTC
Okay, that's no problem. I think that it even won't work (dnf downgrade libsoup), due to libsoup 2.58.0 is the only and latest version in Fedora 26. I made a test build with that particular change reverted for you, it can be downloaded here [1]. See what you've installed with:

$ rpm -qa | grep libsoup

then download all libsoup* packages from that list at [1] and once you've them all use:

   $ sudo dnf update ./libsoup*.rpm

supposing you've downloaded those packages into the current directory. It can also be in your Downloads directory, thus before running the above 'sudo' command do:

   $ cd ~/Downloads

though the 'Downloads' directory name can be localized to your/other-than-english language.

I'm still working on a reproducer, it's quite hard to reproduce for me too.

*** Bug 1447074 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***

Comment 17 Milan Crha 2017-05-03 09:17:28 UTC
Could you try with this update [1], please? It contains an upstream change which will fix it. The update will reach updates-testing shortly. It may address also your bug #1447038 and bug #1447074.

Comment 20 Fedora End Of Life 2018-05-03 08:31:12 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 26 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 26. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version'
of '26'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 26 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 21 Fedora End Of Life 2018-05-29 11:52:57 UTC
Fedora 26 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2018-05-29. Fedora 26
is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any
further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
