Comment 1 Felipe Hommen 2017-07-28 09:21:31 UTC
This also happens with a new installation, and after installing kde-l10n-es and kde-i18n-Spanish and selecting spanish as preferred language

Comment 2 Mario Blättermann 2017-08-08 18:04:07 UTC
Same problem here with the German locale. Both kde-l10n-de and qt5-qttranslations are installed.

Comment 3 Morvan 2017-08-27 01:39:18 UTC
Hi. I use F26 (Workstation, Plasma installed as Groupinstall) and I suffer same problem: partial translation. I reinstalled translation sensible files, but no help.

Comment 4 Morvan 2017-08-27 01:40:54 UTC
Obs.: Brazilian Portuguese.

Comment 5 Ingo van Lil 2017-12-28 09:42:51 UTC
Same problem here on three systems with German locale. The issue was gone after upgrading to F27.

Comment 6 Sylvia Sánchez 2017-12-29 23:03:31 UTC
I'm in Fedora 27 and KDE still has the same issue. Whenever I change languages (German & British English) desktop ends showing a mix of both.
I also have Gnome Shell installed and there desktop and apps show the correct language without mixing.

Comment 7 Piotr Drąg 2018-02-18 16:00:19 UTC
I think this should be moved to KDE.

Comment 8 noriko 2018-02-22 08:31:30 UTC
Hi Ngo
We are in F28 cycle. Is this bug to be fixed in F28?

Comment 9 Sylvia Sánchez 2018-02-23 08:36:14 UTC

> Hi Ngo

I tried last month and it was still the same. I will try again this weekend to check if the problem is still there in F28.

Comment 10 Rex Dieter 2018-02-23 15:17:52 UTC
F27 and newer should have all the latest versions of kde-apps, which includes all transations that kde.org upstream provides. If there's still anything missing, it's an upstream issue (nothing fedora-specific)

Comment 11 noriko 2018-02-25 04:16:33 UTC
Which kde version will F28 include?

Comment 12 Rex Dieter 2018-02-26 18:51:01 UTC
Still too far out to tell for sure, but currently targeting the latest that kde.org released:
Plasma 5.12.2
KDE Applications 17.12.2
KDE Frameworks 5.43.0

Comment 13 Fedora End Of Life 2018-05-03 07:50:36 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 26 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 26. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version'
of '26'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 26 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 14 Fedora End Of Life 2018-05-29 12:11:38 UTC
Fedora 26 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2018-05-29. Fedora 26
is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any
further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
