Description Sri Ramanujam 2017-10-12 16:52:16 UTC
Created attachment 1337911 [details]
OS updates window with the erronously shown "downgrades"

Description of problem:
GNOME software is showing me some software upgrades as downgrades.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
It probably depends on the version numbers involved. I have a sneaking suspicion it has to do with C-style sorting, because right now I see 9->10 being listed as a downgrade.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open GNOME
2. Go to updates
3. Click on OS Updates
4. Scroll to the bottom

Actual results:
If you're (un)lucky, you'll see some downgrades listed that, judging by the version numbers, should be upgrades.

Expected results:
All packages marked for upgrade should be in the upgrades column.

Additional info:
See attachment for a clearer explanation than I could ever give in words.
