Comment 1 Jakub Jelen 2018-05-28 07:47:06 UTC
In this release, JOSM started using javax.json.stream.JsonCollectors, which is no available in Fedora openjfx and therefore it does not build. I will investigate it later.

    [javac] Compiling 1757 source files to /builddir/build/BUILD/josm-0/build
    [javac] /builddir/build/BUILD/josm-0/src/org/openstreetmap/josm/data/imagery/ImageryInfo.java:27: error: cannot find symbol
    [javac] import javax.json.stream.JsonCollectors;
    [javac]                         ^
    [javac]   symbol:   class JsonCollectors
    [javac]   location: package javax.json.stream
    [javac] /builddir/build/BUILD/josm-0/src/org/openstreetmap/josm/data/imagery/ImageryInfo.java:412: error: cannot find symbol
    [javac]                 default_layers = i.defaultLayers.stream().map(DefaultLayer::toJson).collect(JsonCollectors.toJsonArray()).toString();
    [javac]                                                                                             ^
    [javac]   symbol:   variable JsonCollectors
    [javac]   location: class ImageryPreferenceEntry
    [javac] Note: /builddir/build/BUILD/josm-0/src/org/openstreetmap/gui/jmapviewer/Demo.java uses or overrides a deprecated API.
    [javac] Note: Recompile with -Xlint:deprecation for details.
    [javac] 2 errors

Comment 2 Jakub Jelen 2018-05-28 08:05:54 UTC
latest openjfx build happened 11 months ago so I can assume once the new release and update happen in Fedora, we should be able to update JOSM (if somebody will take care of the openjfx since it is orphaned just now).
