Looks like the 1.12.42 build [1] for f29 failed back in August, so users are downgrading to 1.12.41 when upgrading their systems to Fedora 29.

Also looks like 1.12.43 was released August 19th [2], though the changes aren't as significant as 1.12.42.

I am aware of the versions going backwards. Unfortunately updated gnumeric builds are blocked by new itstool. Unless itstool is fixed I cannot update gnumeric.
