We have to wait for the next release (1.9.13), because current version does not build with python3, the next should be fine.
There are some issues with waf build system.

Thanks for the very quick answer.
I have indeed no problem to wait, and anyway, jack-audio-connection-kit depends on libffado, which needs to be patched to build with python3 (I have provided a PR for that).
The libffado bug is blocking this bug, so you will be notified when it is resolved.
libffado also needs libxml++ to be built for EPEL 8. There's a bug for this one too.

Perhaps it's open because it's only built without firewire/ ffado support...
In which case, perhaps the title should be updated?
