It would be useful to have netcdf-fortran as a BR of things in epel8.
The scratch build at https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=38466003 failed two tests, one with a segv.  I'm not very familiar with it and haven't tried to debug the failures.
