Description Dusty Mabe 2020-09-04 20:11:08 UTC
We could really use a refresh on the kickstarts for cloud base. There is a bunch of stuff in there that's not needed any longer.

This was originally opened as https://pagure.io/cloud-sig/issue/311.

A PR to update rawhide has been merged: https://pagure.io/fedora-kickstarts/pull-request/679

A PR to update F33 exists: https://pagure.io/fedora-kickstarts/pull-request/682#

Can we get f33 updated. Yes, I should have done this before freeze.

Comment 1 Dusty Mabe 2020-09-04 20:11:50 UTC
I've tested the f34 change produced good AWS images and vagrant images. I assume we'd get the same for f33. At least a local build looks good.

Comment 2 Fedora Blocker Bugs Application 2020-09-04 20:13:33 UTC
Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 33-beta by Fedora user dustymabe using the blocker tracking app because:

Get refreshed kickstart into the hands of users for beta.

Comment 3 Dusty Mabe 2020-09-04 20:15:15 UTC
Context: I did this work because we have Google engineers working to get Fedora working in GCP and I wanted to make their contribution easier by removing the junk from our kickstart files.

See https://pagure.io/cloud-sig/issue/310

Setting as AcceptedFE as per voting: https://pagure.io/fedora-qa/blocker-review/issue/63 .

Comment 5 Dusty Mabe 2020-09-08 22:33:43 UTC
Thanks!

https://pagure.io/fedora-kickstarts/pull-request/682 has been merged now and should be in the next compose.
