Description Christian Fredrik Kalager Schaller 2020-10-13 15:19:54 UTC
Description of problem:
I just did an on hardware fresh install of Fedora 33 beta. Upon launching GNOME Software for the first time I first get an error 'unable to contact 'admin.fedoraproject.org''. When clicking that away it says its downloading the software catalog. I am then asked if I want to enable 3rd party software, to which I say yes.

I then go searching for Nvidia and it finds no driver.

I go into settings and notice that despite me saying yes to 3rd party software all the repositories are turned off. I realize this might be due to the old policy of not enabling them right away, but waiting until a users searches for it then ask if we want to enable non-free software?

I enable the nvidia repository.

I go searching for Nvidia again, but still not luck.

I go into the updates tab and press the refresh button. It finishes.

I go and search for nvidia again. Still no driver appears.

I have no waited around 8 minutes but the search still returns no result.
