Description Peter Bieringer 2020-10-23 05:21:06 UTC
Description of problem:
sa-update fails, because of EOL channel configuration sought.conf

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
spamassassin-3.4.2-7.el8.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
/usr/bin/sa-update -v --channel sought.rules.yerp.org --channel updates.spamassassin.org --gpgkey 6C6191E3 --gpgkey 5244EC45

Actual results:
Update available for channel sought.rules.yerp.org: -1 -> 3402014020421
channel: could not find working mirror, channel failed
Update failed, exiting with code 4

Expected results:
working

Additional info:

according to posting found by Dr. Google, "sought.rules.yerp.org" is really EOL:

http://spamassassin.1065346.n5.nabble.com/Bug-7800-New-Can-t-run-sa-update-cron-td157878.html

-> please remove that particular config file from the package:

rpm -qf /etc/mail/spamassassin/channel.d/sought.conf
spamassassin-3.4.2-7.el8.x86_64

Workaround:

meanwhile rename the file:
mv /etc/mail/spamassassin/channel.d/sought.conf /etc/mail/spamassassin/channel.d/sought.conf.EOL
