Description Kamil Páral 2023-10-06 07:43:41 UTC
Once again, we need to prepare fedora-release, fedora-repos and generic-release for the Final release. See bug 2133425 for details.

+4 in https://pagure.io/fedora-qa/blocker-review/issue/1385 , marking accepted.

Comment 2 Kevin Fenzi 2023-10-06 19:06:34 UTC
PR's:

https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/fedora-repos/pull-request/129 (fedora-repos)
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/fedora-release/pull-request/287 (fedora-release)

BTW, does anyone know why we bother updating fedora-release here? just to avoid the 0.x version?

Comment 3 Adam Williamson 2023-10-06 23:23:27 UTC
The version is significant. Either the live installer or the network installer (I can never remember which, but I think it's the live installer) uses it to decide whether to show the pre-release warnings. If the release is less than 1, it shows the warnings. If the release is 1 or higher, it does not. So we have to get this right or we get pre-release warnings on the final release.

updates-testing is disabled, Prerelease is not mentioned in os-release, package version is above 1, looks ok
