Description Ronald L Humble 2008-04-26 21:36:39 UTC
Description of problem:fresh install using custom layout and existing LVM
partitions. Complains not enough space when attempting to assign root partition.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora 9 Preview

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Three LVM partitions created using command line tools in Fedora 8 and
formatted to ext3
2. Install from DVD; choose Custom Layout
3. Space reported as 541% and used as minus 492%
4. LVM partitions recognized and attempted to assign root; complain not enough
space.

Actual results:

Expected results:

Additional info:
Went to Fedora 8 and changed partition ID from Linux to "Linux LVM" using fdisk

Second attempt to install went fine. Space/use number and percentages looked
correct. Assigned root and other partitions and install went to completion.

Given the presence of a relatively straight-forward workaround, I think we'll
punt this to F10

Comment 2 Bug Zapper 2008-05-14 10:13:40 UTC
Changing version to '9' as part of upcoming Fedora 9 GA.
