Description of problem:
Bitlbee crashes every time I try to log into my Jabber account.

bitlbee-1.2.3-2.fc11.i586

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start bitlbee without forking it into the background
2. connect irssi to bitlbee
3. register a user account
4. add a jabber account to bitlbee
5. try to connect to the jabber account
