Description John J. McDonough 2009-11-22 16:27:28 UTC
Description of problem:
depsolve problem installing sdcc. Could be system was upgraded from F11

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
2.9.0-4.fc12

How reproducible:
reproduceable

Steps to Reproduce:
1. sudo yum install sdcc
2.
3.

Actual results:
ERROR with rpm_check_debug vs depsolve:
sdcc = 2.9.0-5.fc11 is needed by (installed) emacs-sdcc-2.9.0-5.fc11.i586

Expected results:
Complete!

Additional info:
Removing emacs-sdcc and attempting to install sdcc yields:

Transaction Check Error:
package sdcc-2.9.0-5.fc11.i586 (which is newer than sdcc-2.9.0-4.fc12.i686) is already installed

system was preupgraded, so apparently something is out od sync with the repos

Comment 1 Conrad Meyer 2009-11-23 02:41:15 UTC
This is an error in the package, not your fault at all. The version built for F11 didn't build in F12 and I didn't fix it yet.

Comment 2 Conrad Meyer 2009-11-25 01:13:22 UTC
It appears the __os_install_post hacks that work in F-11 aren't working in F-12.

Comment 3 Conrad Meyer 2009-12-07 04:19:11 UTC
Fixed with sdcc-2.9.0-6.fc12.
