Please edit arguments and remove both rhgb and quiet, look for other errors.

Thanks for your report.

Are you able to get into the system at all (via ssh?)

Comment 3 Aioanei Rares 2010-02-19 19:15:03 UTC
It all starts after starting atd (the exact same error) and before this I can't get anything wrong. Since this is firstboot, I don't have a user yet, so ssh (or any other kind of) login is out of the question.

Comment 4 Bill Nottingham 2010-02-19 19:19:37 UTC
You can try booting into single-user mode to add a user.

Might check the obvious things at the same time (that mingetty is installed, that packages verify, etc.)

Comment 5 Aioanei Rares 2010-02-19 19:29:41 UTC
I can login as single user and yes, mingetty is installed. What else should I look for?

Comment 6 Bill Nottingham 2010-02-19 19:42:53 UTC
Are there error messages from mingetty in the logs? Also, add a user so you can ssh in while it's failing to see what's going on.

Comment 7 iarly selbir 2010-02-19 19:48:43 UTC
You can try switch to runevel 3 from 1 ( assuming you have not graphical interface )

after logged on runlevel 1, run:

# init 3

Guess what? Disabling selinux makes the problem go away. It is the only thing I have changed. And BTW, 900 M for a minimal install (including all kinds of unneeded services) is a bit much...

Comment 9 Bill Nottingham 2010-02-19 20:01:02 UTC
OK. What sort of SELinux errors are in the logs?

Assigning to policy for now.

Comment 12 Daniel Walsh 2010-02-22 19:20:02 UTC
Please yum update to the latest policy.

yum -y update

Most of these error messages are fixed on my F13 machine, so I think you are way out of date.

Comment 13 Aioanei Rares 2010-02-22 19:36:19 UTC
That bug was reported, if you will pay attention to my report, in relation to that day's boot ISO.

Comment 14 Daniel Walsh 2010-02-22 20:43:58 UTC
What version of selinux-policy is on todays boot ISO.

rpm -q selinux-policy

Comment 15 srh 2010-02-22 22:00:44 UTC
I had the same errors occur when I tried to boot livecd desktop-i386-20100221.16.iso into a kvm virtual machine. As of right now (23 Feb), this iso is still the latest from
http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/nightly-composes/desktop/

I could not boot to the livecd desktop and therefore didn't bother trying to install, let alone update. Rather than fluffing around disabling selinux etc, I'll wait for an updated iso.

Comment 16 srh 2010-02-23 21:27:38 UTC
desktop-i386-20100222.19.iso also does not boot to the livecd desktop within a kvm virtual machine (host is Fedora12 x86). Same error messages.

Comment 17 Aioanei Rares 2010-02-23 21:55:48 UTC
Way out of date, huh, Dan?

Comment 18 Daniel Walsh 2010-02-23 23:01:50 UTC
Could be related to this problem.

# 566995

Comment 19 Daniel Walsh 2010-02-23 23:09:02 UTC
