Description Karel Volný 2013-01-31 16:59:18 UTC
Description of problem:
Trying to change brightness on text console or from graphical login manager does not work for me on Lenovo ThinkPad T510, I have to log into some graphical environment so that it's powermanagement takes over those keys. Also switching from graphics to text puts backlight on max and I cannot decrease it.

Another one which doesn't work is the video output switch.

At the same time, other function keys work as expected - e.g. suspend or LED.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kernel-3.7.4-204.fc18.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Additional info:
I've tried to use the "acpi_osi=Linux" trick I've googled in Ubuntu forums but it does not help.
