Description Miro Hrončok 2022-01-29 11:53:34 UTC
This is a tracker bug that tracks all bugzillas that report Python packages with missing version information, providing python3dist(...) = 0 instead of the actual version.

See https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/Python/#_source_files_from_pypi

Comment 1 Miro Hrončok 2022-01-29 21:12:21 UTC
I've started a discussion about making this an error: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/python-devel@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/K35JCFVJLETVUOICQM634OSYBYQ3Q2WQ/

Comment 2 Charalampos Stratakis 2023-09-06 12:07:57 UTC
Just one package remains to be fixed and as it FTBFS for some releases now it will be retired soon. Closing the tracker.
